Would the fans be satisfied with an old overworked graphic-engine or is totally new technique concept required? In times of Hellgate: London a more powerful graphic is needed in any case. Although…. we still love the colour-fireworks of a sorceress in Diablo 2 very much.

Story
Even if Diablo and his brother Baal had to die at the end of Diablo 2 both have to appear in the third part of Diablo again. How about a Diablo 3 future-scenario? Or would this be too close to Hellgate: London? Time travelling in Diablo 3? There are so many options which epoch Diablo could afflict.

Diablo 2 used to be the ne plus ultra of the hack and slay sub-genre.

We want an animated and random generated World with oodles of monsters and powerful magic spells.
Imaginable would be also an ego-perspective in which you experience the more detailed and beautiful world.
Or will Blizzard focus on the WoW-principle and create a MMORPG in the Diablo Universe?
Rumours has it that there will be “dark” and “bright” weapons which stand for ones attitude.

Blizzard is better in secrecy than CIA, FBI and Coca Cola together. The best example is Starcraft 2 which development started already in 2003 but first at may 19th this year it was official announced.
Whit the money the Americans made by WoW they could afford estimated 2 billion employees which ONLY work on Diablo 3. That is our wish.

Chances
Now where Blizzard knows how to milk the cow (World of Warcraft) it should be easy for them to squeeze out the fans of other great series like Diablo. We are sure to know more about Diablo 3 at the
latest in 2008.
