07.02.2005 - Blizzard is searching for a “game designer” for the team that already was responsible for Diablo and Diablo 2. Blizzard also offers a new job to a “3D character-artist” who should already have experience with role play games. Diablo 3 in 3D? This image is not absurd because Warcraft III : The Frozen Throne or World of Warcraft are already using a convincing 3D graphic.

17.05.2005 - At the E3 in Los Angeles Blizzard should announce a new Game which raised the hopes of Diablo fans it could be the third part of the hack and slay masterpiece. But in the end it was only a presentation of Starcraft: Ghost. Questions concerning Diablo 3 were left open.

24.04.2005 - Diabloii.net received a mail in which a Czech musician claimed to have recorded music for Diablo 3 together with a symphony orchestra in Bratislava. Already the music for Diablo 2 has been recorded there an 4 month later it was released.

28.10.2005 - The Blizzcon (a small convention like the QuakeCon) will open their doors for the very first time. Media and fans, both are looking forward to play Blizzard games, take part at tournaments and chat with developers. The Blizzcon is probably one of the best places for new announcements. But Blizzard missed the chance to announce Diablo 3.

05.08.2007 - As the way it is, not every rumor is going to be proven true. In spite of several hints, this year’s Blizzcon has come to an end without any announcement for D3. However, Rob Pardo told us that they will certainly revisit the Diablo-Universe in the future.

20.08.2007 - Similar to the latest BlizzCon, the rumor mill is doing its best job on this year’s Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany. Many people were predicting an announcement for the sequel of Diablo on GC. But if this was either based on wishful thinking or not can be revealed in the next few days. In favor of Leipzig as a Location of announcement would be the large, European fanbase. Against, that Starcraft 2 has already been announced as an important title.
